More Muscles for the Chevrolet Camaro 2.0L Turbo

The performance engineering company RaceChip took the iconic Chevrolet Camaro with the ambition to transform the Camaro 2.0L Turbo to a true muscle car.

In 2015, Chevrolet introduced the sixth generation Camaro. Using the 2.0L Turbo LTG from GM’s ECOTEC engine family, Chevrolet satisfied the needs for performance and efficiency. The inline-4-cylinder turbo engine puts out 275 HP and 295 lb-ft of torque. While the turbo engine has many fans, there are still others that criticize the muscle car is losing its muscles.

The tuning experts from RaceChip took the iconic Chevy Camaro with the ambition to transform the Camaro 2.0T to a true muscle car. After months of development, RaceChip released its chip tuning boosting the Chevrolet Camaro 2.0T to up to robust 327 HP and 334 lb-ft of torque.

Tuned Camaro tested on the dyno

Measured on a Dynojet Research chassis dyno and running 91 octane, RaceChip pushed a 2018 Chevrolet Camaro 2.0L Turbo with 8-speed automatic transmission from 219 WHP and 272 Ft-lbs to 248 WHP and 302 Ft-lbs. The results are remarkable considering the warm conditions the day it was tested. It was 88° Fahrenheit.

The RaceChip Chip Tuning Box interprets the signals from the engine and sends optimized values to the ECU which in turn optimizes the output of the engine in both horsepower and torque.
